Waterproofing a Basement in Glade Springs, VA
Challenge
This home in Glade Springs, VA was built in the 1960s and like most older homes, it didn't have a reliable waterproofing system in place. The homeowner had been noticing water pooling in the basement for several years, but put off having it fixed until it became unbearable. They knew they couldn't leave the area susceptible to mold, mildew, rot, and other damage, so they called the Master Services team out for an inspection.
Solution
The basement needed a sump pump system--in particular, our TripleSafe sump pump. This system catches and pumps water outside of the home via our WaterGuard drainage system. The sump pump offers three levels of protection, meaning the basement will be protected from flooding even if there's a power outage. The drainage system is installed along the perimeter of the basement, and it works alongside the sump pump to keep water out of the home.
