My opinion is to FORGET Mastern Services-All Things Basementy and find someone who knows what they are doing and will do what they say. I have a regular 3 bedroom house. The basement is standup at one end and slopes to a few feet clearance at the other end. After inspection we agreed to everything they said was needed and at $28,000, a boat load of money. Including wall insulation, installing a moisture control / humidifier machine and all with encapsulation Clean Space. When done we were told we would have a clean, encapsulated, dry basement/crawl space. The encapsulation looked good when complete and fairly neat and clean until I go down and there is standing pooling water with water also pooling along the edge of the white plastic they installed. There was a thunderstorm with rain so the water came from leakage of the rainwater into the space. I called for support and Master Services came and inspected and said that the water intrusion was from the rainstorm and he said he didn't think it would happen very often. He said the foundation is okay, but it's not okay because he thinks it is seepage through the foundation..? He said that if it was his he would wait until it happens again and then fix it. I was a bit flabergasted that I just paid to 'fix' it. So, he then says yes they can fix the water leakage but that will cost us more than we have already paid and he can estimate it. I will now have to get another outfit to come and inspect and figure out was not done or done correctly to fix it.. after paying $28,000 for a clean dry space which I don't have. So, my opinion is to steer clear and find a basement service provider who knows what they are doing, will do what they say they will do, and stand behind what the have done.
