Au revoir Master Services! We will miss you!

The 2015 Fall Semester Marketing Internship is sadly coming to an end. Jessica and I (Alexa) have really enjoyed working and getting to know the team here at Master Services. It has truly been the best experience and opportunity for growth as we prepare to graduate and enter the real world. So before we go, we want to share our Master Services stories!

The internship began at the start of September. Since I am also a fulltime student at the University of Tennessee, Master Services willingly worked with my schedule as I balanced the internship, school, and other extracurriculars. Their support was greatly appreciated, and I was able to successfully maintain all my responsibilities.

During my time at Master Services, I had the chance to work on several different projects. This was a great way for me to become more familiar with what marketing jobs, and just jobs in general, actually look like outside of the classroom. I wrote several articles covering multiple topics about our services as well as a few press releases. I also learned how to use several different online tools, which helped me organize and edit websites and input information in virtual databases.

Another project I worked on was reaching out to past customers to film video testimonials with us about their experience with our service. However, one of my favorite projects I was able to work on was event planning for the groundbreaking ceremony for Master Services' new building. It was so gratifying to be a part of such an important and memorable transition in Master Services' life!

Overall, I truly value Master Services and the privilege I was given to work for them. Everyday was always an upbeat, new challenge with even better reward. I was even able to get a full time job offer in Nashville, and I have to say, I don’t know if I would have gotten it without Master Services. Thank you again for the opportunity and you will be missed!

Jessica would like to add: 

This internship has been an absolutely invaluable experience. From the very first day, everyone here has made me feel at home and has contributed to my growth and learning. As Alexa mentioned, their flexibility and willingness to work around my busy school schedule was incredible.  This contributed immensely to my success this semester in the internship as well as my schoolwork and extracurricular life.

Of all the projects I worked on during my time at Master Services, the largest was by far working on activating city pages on the website. I was able to generate content to fill these pages through writing job stories, filtering reviews and testimonials, and writing up before and after stories. After working on this content writing project, I feel like I have been able to hone my writing skills and am now able to better understand what will be most appealing and helpful to a customer.

Additionally, I have worked on some graphic design projects during my time with Master Services and updating employee photos for the website.

All in all, this internship with Master Services has helped both Alexa and myself gain valuable real-world knowledge and has prepared us to take on life after graduation. We are both incredibly grateful for the experience that we’d had here.
