Master Services Sends Bosses Over the Edge for The Restoration House Fundraiser
This past Saturday, August 27, 2016, Master Services sent CEO Josh Smith and his wife Tracy, along with Office Manager Robin Hurst and her daughter Danielle to rappel down the side of Downtown Knoxville’s twelve-story Langley Building to support the Restoration House fundraiser “Over the Edge.”
Partnering with the Over the Edge initiative, The Restoration House asked participants to go “over the edge” to symbolize the everyday challenges that single mothers face. Master Services employees braved the dizzying twelve-story height in order to change the futures of the single mothers and their children who rely on The Restoration House, raising a company total of $4,330!
Our Office Manager Robin Hurst reflects on her experience as one that was truly unforgettable.
“I was really nervous when I got on the roof,” Robin says. “When I looked down, I thought ‘I can’t do this’. Luckily, my daughter Danielle and the Over the Edge members were so encouraging along the way. They reminded me why and who we were doing this for.”
The Over the Edge event was a huge success, raising over $90,000 for the families of The Restoration House. This money will go directly towards getting East Tennessee single mothers and their families back on their feet and transitioning them back into society.
Master Services loved having the opportunity to get involved with the efforts of The Restoration House. We are so proud of the community we serve, and we can't wait to do it again next year!
