Master Service Companies Goes Over the Edge for a Great Cause
Knoxville's Restoration House is a nonprofit organization that helps single mothers and their children. Through supportive transitional housing, ally teams and family advocacy, TRH walks alongside low-income single-mother families, helping them break harmful cycles and regain hope and a future.
So, when it came time for its annual "Over the Edge" fundraiser, the Master Service Companies team stepped up.
Behind the scenes, more than 20 members of our staff volunteered to set up the venue, sign folks in, shoot video and share social media.
Three of our team members rappeled down the 12-story Langley Building. They each had to raise $1000 to participate.
Our sales trainer, John Mack Seiber went first.
Then, Kathryn Ann Holt, our community ambassador, started her descent. Kathryn Ann was also celebrating her 30th birthday, so her mom and brother also took the challenge.
They all made it down, just fine, as did our final participant, Callie Pyle.
Everyone who got involved, from the ground on up, agreed that it was a great way to give back. And, we know the money raised will help several families. At Master Service Companies, we believe we are one team and part of one community, returning the blessings we've been given.
We'll be involved with many other charities in the months to come. As for this event - here's to next year!
