Carbon Fiber Reinforcement is an Effective Solution for Foundation Damage

This approach repairs cracks and provides support to bowed or damaged foundation walls. The process uses a combination of epoxy resin and carbon fiber strapping to reinforce cracks. The tension of carbon fiber strapping is comparable to steel, yet doesn’t require drilling, heavy equipment, or invasive processes to install.

First, Master Services cleans the foundation wall using a hand-held grinder. This removes old paint so that the epoxy is able to bind tightly to the surface. Next, the epoxy is mixed and applied to the carbon fiber until it’s saturated, then the straps are pressed against the wall. Once the epoxy has cured, the wall can be painted to hide all signs of the reinforcement.
