Employee Spotlight: Brian

What would your coworkers be surprised to know about you?

Most probably that I was very athletic in my youth, but in high school in Florida I actually ran the 110 high hurdles, won district my Senior Year and qualified for the Regional Final coming up just a few hundredths of a second short of qualifying for State. 

What kind of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

Sports of all kinds (a Buccaneers fan long before Tom Brady), coaching youth baseball, and all things music.  Concerts, playing guitar and traveling... Married for almost 26 years with 2 kids keeps most hobbies at arms length still!

What’s your best work-related memory?

This past year we met with a potential customer in Kingsport, TN who had a beautiful home that had horrible foundation settlement problems. He was recently widowed, and wanting to sell the house. Several other companies in our industry had quoted him and then not been able to help him (In fact, one company actually started the work and said, "Sorry we can’t do it.") We visited with this customer several times to create a comprehensive scope of work that addressed all of the foundation issues that he was facing to ensure that he was able to list his house on the market and get it sold.  He was a raving fan and was able to close that important chapter in his life and move on because we were able to help him when nobody else could!
