Master Services continues to radically serve its community and prove to be a top workplace in East Tennessee.
Master Services, along with sister companies Klaus Roofing Systems by Master Services and Junkluggers of East Tennessee hosted their first ever “Employee Fun & Wellness Day” on Friday, 4/16.
An internal employee appreciation committee worked for months to plan the event, adhering to CDC guidelines, which included a MEDIC Blood Drive, seminars from Jan Seiber, a nutritionist with UT Hospital, Elizabeth Hall with Food City and Erin Reed with the Knox County Health Department. Several area vendors set up informative and interactive booths including: TVA Credit Union, Knucklebusters Auto - Aamco in Powell, The Office of Neighborhood Empowerment, Morris Self Defense, Christy Lett with Arbonne, Knoxville Chiropractic Solutions, TN Bank Mortgage, Carin Brio- Attorney at Law, Garden Path School for Young Learners, Nicole Workman with Realty Executives and Parklane Jewelry, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Been There Done That Travel, First Bank, Amanda Woods with Pampered Chef, Within Holistic, Kat Van Dusen with Mary Kay, and Pure Acupuncture & Wellness.
Many of these professionals are members of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Powell Business & Professional Association and North Knox Business & Professional Association. Each participant provided a wealth of information along with generous trinkets and door prizes for the Master Team staff. The employees were all treated to lunch by the Bangin Burgers Food Truck, owned and operated by Paige & Corky Corcoran, President of True Grip & Lighting, and music from local radio stations, B97.5 and 100.3 The Wolf.
Dustin Coffey, general manager of Master Services, Klaus Roofing by Master Services and Junkluggers of East Tennessee stated: “It was really great to finally have everyone together and celebrate our culture and health. I appreciate all of the vendors who came out and look forward to building more relationships with the community, keeping our internal family strong and planning our next company health fair.”
“Offering a chance to participate in an employee fun and wellness day is one way that our company shows that they truly care about our health and wellbeing. It's a good feeling knowing you are supported and appreciated on a personal level by being empowered to host an event dedicated to physical and mental health, especially on the heels of a pandemic,” said event co-chair, Deborah Mauldin. “I look forward to being able to do something a little bigger in the future to include more businesses, as well as invite our family and friends.”
Regional Vice President & Independent Consultant of Arbonne, and Director of the Knoxville Professional Women’s Network, Christy Lett stated: “It was such a great experience. I met so many wonderful people. You can just tell that this is a great place to work, and that people really like their jobs. I was very pleased to be able to share important information about health and nutrition with such an open group. I look forward to the next one, working with Deborah to make it even bigger!”
Angela Mayfield, Director of Garden Path School for Young Learners added: “This event was so well-organized. I just really enjoyed being there!”
“It was a great experience. The people that work there clearly love working there and it's a really good group of people. I appreciated being there, thanks for setting it up!” Amadea Brayden - Pure Acupuncture & Wellness
Several employees of the company worked together to set up the event and were elated to spend time with one another, enjoy the great outdoors playing cornhole, Giant Jenga and other games, as they visited with vendors, ate delicious food, and won amazing prizes! Logistics Coordinator, Brandy Ware was so humbled, she split up the items in the gift basket she won to share with coworkers. These are examples of the many ways they are carrying out the company's mission: One Team. One Passion. One Experience. One Community.
