Encapsulating a Johnson City, TN Crawlspace

Challenge

This customer had lived in his home for more than two decades and planned on it being his "forever" home. However, he was noticing standing water inside his crawlspace following heavy rain. He also detected the unmistakable smell of mold... which will rise into the rest of the home due to the "stack effect." He wanted a dependable and long-lasting solution, especially since members of his family had allergies and asthma! Mold and respiratory issues do not mix. 

Solution

Our team performed a thorough inspection of the crawlspace to determine the best waterproofing strategy. We determined that several products would be necessary to fight moisture, mold, and water damage. These included our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, which deters humidity and keeps areas dry, our CleanSpace vapor barrier, and SmartSump crawlspace sump pump. The vapor barrier shields vulnerable areas from moisture, while the sump ensures water can't gather inside and cause damage.
