Wall Plate Anchors reinforced a foundation wall in Cleveland, TN
Challenge
In Cleveland, TN, a homeowner faced a significant challenge when their foundation wall began to bow inward. This issue stemmed from excessive moisture in the nearby terrain, a phenomenon known as hydrostatic pressure. Over time, the soil pushed against the wall, creating voids inside the basement. Concerns about the stability of their home grew, especially since the affected area was utilized as additional storage space.
Solution
To address this challenge, the Master Services installation team stepped in with an effective solution. They installed Wall Plate Anchors. First, our crew drilled holes from the basement to a trench located 5-6 feet outside. Then, a rod was inserted into each hole, and both ends were securely fastened using our GeoLock and Plated anchors. By effectively utilizing the soil as a support system, we successfully addressed the issue of further pressure. This provided the much-needed extra support to the overall structure of the house. Despite the complexity of the task, the procedure was efficiently conducted, causing minimal disruption to both the interior and exterior of the property.
