Our company received a call from Jerome G. of Hixson, TN, who had previously had his crawlspace partially encapsulated by the home builder a few years ago. Concerned about a foul odor emanating from the crawlspace, Jerome discovered clear signs of mold, water condensation, and the first indications of wood warping on his beams. Following an appointment scheduled by our inspector, it became evident that Jerome's crawlspace required thorough attention and a proper encapsulation. Working within the confined space of 4 to 5 feet in height, our crew installed our CleanSpace system, a high-quality multilayered barrier designed for optimal resistance. This system, once securely installed, effectively captures any water or vapor infiltration. To further enhance heat insulation, we integrated our SilverGlo system, whose reflective surface redirects heat back into the crawlspace, ensuring optimal energy savings. Additionally, we complemented the CleanSpace system with our EZFlow perimeter drainage system, redirecting water towards the sump pump for proper disposal.
A home in Hixson, TN had a front sidewalk that was shifting due to settlement. Extremes in temperature and rainfall often will cause soil to swell, shrink, or wash away. This causes concrete to shift, sink, and crack.
To fix concrete settlement, Master Services turns to PolyLyft. The team drills holes along the slab, then injects each with high-density polyurethane. The polyurethane then expands, filling any voids and raising the slab to an even position. The PolyLyft cures within an hour and can be walked on soon after!
With PolyLyft in place, this sidewalk will be level and should present no tripping hazards!
Horace and his team recently had a PolyLyft project in Hixson, TN. The homeowner was concerned about the sidewalk in front of his home, and he called the Master Services team out to work their concrete-leveling magic.
Concrete can shift for a variety of reasons, including from soil erosion, drought, or too much moisture. Concrete is heavy and too much rain can wash the soil away, or cause the slab to sink. When there’s a drought, the soil shrinks and shifts the concrete.
To fix the sidewalk, the team drilled holes at strategic intervals to make room for injection ports. These were then injected with our durable, high-density PolyLyft. This fills the holes and expands, raising the slab to an even position.
The sidewalk looked like new by the time our team was done, and the homeowner was thrilled with our work.
